Lads Petting Zoo

We are working very hard on a small petting zoo for future events on the farm so everyone can come meet our furry or feathery friends. Each year we try to grow our farm with a few new animals. Here are the different farm animals we have so far:

Chickens

From Easter Eggers to Brahma Chickens, we have all kinds of different breeds on the farm. Some are egg layers or meat chickens and depending on the breed they can be dual purpose birds.

Turkeys

Like chickens, we have egg laying turkeys and meat turkeys. Turkey eggs have more protein and their eggshells are a bit harder to crack.

Ducks

We have multiple ducks and ducklings on the farm, they enjoy swimming in the pond and wandering the yard in small groups. Duck eggs are great for baking but really hard to crack.

Quails

The Coturnix quail are the smallest birds we have on the farm, they lay small light blue eggs. Like chickens and turkeys, this breed of quail is dual purpose.

Rabbits

We currently have two rabbits named Hanna and Bruno. Their a cute and fuzzy addition to the farm, the rabbits tend to be shy around people but when they are together each rabbit brings out the best in each other.

Pigs

The pigs we have on the farm are called Kunekune pigs, they are one of the smallest breeds of pigs. They are very intelligent and get along with all animals on the farm. Mable Jellybean is a spicy but sweet pork ball and Petunia June is a loud but go with the flow piggy.

Cats

We have many different barn cats running around the farm. Hidden in barns and sheds, always with the other animals to keep them company.

Goats

These goats are called Nubians, they have a short coat and long ears that hang down swinging freely. They are very sweet and adore being fed small treats. We have two bucks, two bucklings, four does, and one doeling.

Geese

American Buff and African geese are what roam on the farm, in the future we would like to welcome Sebastopol geese to the farm.

Dogs

We have a total of seven dogs, five are German Shepherds and two are Great Pyrenees.
